Along the way, we’ll stop to explore beautiful Berber villages that highlight the local culture.

Next, we’ll visit the renowned Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a historic fortified town famous for its distinctive Moroccan architecture. This site has been featured in many well-known films, including “Kingdom of Heaven” (2005), “Babel” (2006), “Prince of Persia” (2010), “Game of Thrones” (2012), and the recent documentary “David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet” (2020). After a delicious lunch, we will journey south along the picturesque “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” towards the breathtaking Dades Valley. Our route will take us through notable stops like Ouarzazate, Skoura, and the Valley of Roses in Kalaat M’Gouna. Once we arrive in Dades Valley in the afternoon, we’ll have the chance to visit the impressive “monkey fingers” rock formations, time permitting. If we run short on time, don’t worry; we’ll include this unique site in your itinerary for the following day. You’ll spend the night in a comfortable hotel that suits your preference.

On our third day of traveling through the desert from Marrakech to Merzouga, we’ll start with a delicious breakfast. Afterward, we will head toward Tineghir, making a stop at a scenic location offering stunning views of beautiful Berber villages and lush palm groves. We will also visit the impressive Toudgha Gorge, a 300-meter-high canyon. This walk will take us deep into the canyon before we continue our journey to the Merzouga desert.

Upon our arrival in Merzouga in the late afternoon, we will embark on a camel trek to the Erg Chebbi dunes. The ride will take us to the top of a dune, where we can witness a breathtaking sunset over the golden sands of Erg Chebbi. Afterward, we will return to camp on our camels and be greeted with the warm hospitality of our hosts, along with refreshing tea. You will have some time to relax before enjoying a delicious Moroccan dinner. In the evening, you can gather around a fire in the camp, sharing stories and listening to Berber companions playing drums under the starry night sky. You’ll spend the night in a luxurious desert campsite, where you can unwind at your leisure.

We highly encourage you to wake up early and experience the stunning sunrise from the nearest towering dune by the campsite. After enjoying a delicious breakfast, you have the option to return to Merzouga either by camel trek or in a comfortable 4×4 vehicle. From Merzouga, we will begin our journey back to Marrakech, taking a scenic route along the Draa River, the longest river in Morocco, which spans an impressive 1,100 kilometers.
