Day 1: Casablanca – Transfer to the hotel.

Upon arrival at Casablanca Mohammed V airport, you will be greeted and transported to your hotel. A representative will give you a concise introduction to your tour.

This private Morocco tour begins in Casablanca, with visits to the Hassan II Mosque, Casablanca beach, the Justice Court, and the Habous quarters. Next, we travel to Rabat, the administrative capital, to explore the Hassan Tower, the Royal Palace Gardens, and the Kasbah of Oudaya. Finally, we proceed to Meknes, the former capital during the Ismailian era in the 16th century.

After visiting Meknes, we will embark on a half-hour drive to reach Volubilis, a renowned Roman ruins archaeological site. From there, our journey continues to Chefchaouen, often referred to as the “Blue Jewel of Morocco.” You will have the opportunity to explore this captivating city and spend the night at a local riad or hotel, immersing yourself in its unique charm and atmosphere.

The following morning, we will venture to Asilah for exploration. Afterward, we will drive to Fez, where you will have a two-night stay at a local riad. Fez is known for its rich history and cultural heritage, offering a fascinating experience during your visit.

After enjoying a refreshing breakfast at your accommodation, you will embark on a full day of sightseeing in the mesmerizing city of Fes, accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide. Known as the “Athens of Africa” and boasting a rich history, Fes is a treasure trove of cultural and historical wonders.

After enjoying breakfast, our journey continues towards Merzouga. We will traverse the majestic Atlas Mountains, passing through scenic locations like Ifrane and the cedar forests of Azrou, where you can encounter wild monkeys and capture the beauty of Morocco’s wilderness through photography.
We will stop for lunch in the charming Berber village of Zaida, immersing ourselves in the local culture. Following lunch, we will resume our drive through the stunning Atlas Mountains, admiring the landscapes of Midelt along the way. As we pass through the towns of Rich and Erfoud, we will sense the transition into the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet.
Eventually, we will reach our destination, Merzouga, where you will spend the night at a hotel located near the dunes. This will be an excellent opportunity to experience the unique desert atmosphere and perhaps witness a mesmerizing sunset or sunrise over the sand dunes.

After having breakfast at the hotel in Merzouga, your desert adventure begins. Here’s a summary of what you can expect:
Visit to Khamlia Village: You will visit the village of Khamlia, where you can interact with the local people who are descendants of Sudanese slaves. This will give you a unique opportunity to experience their music and lifestyle, which is deeply rooted in their cultural heritage.
Explore Merzouga Lake: Not far from the village, you will find Merzouga Lake, known for its bird populations, including majestic flamingos. You can observe the diverse birdlife and enjoy the natural beauty of the lake surroundings.

Camel Ride in the Erg-Chebbi: In the afternoon, you will embark on a camel ride guided by an experienced camel-man. You will journey into the vast and mysterious sand-sea of the Erg-Chebbi, a famous dune region in the Sahara desert. Night in the Desert: As evening falls, you will have the option to spend the night under the stars, immersing yourself in the tranquility of the desert. Dinner will be served in the tent, allowing you to enjoy traditional Moroccan cuisine in a unique setting.

Following breakfast, our journey will take us through the captivating Dades Valley, heading towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazat. The Dades Valley, known as the Route of One Thousand Kasbahs, will offer countless opportunities for you to capture stunning photographs during the trip.
We will make a stop at Kalaa Mgouna, also known as “the Roses City,” where you can purchase rosewater. This fragrant souvenir will keep your linens smelling delightful long after your trip has ended. Continuing our route, we will pass through Skoura and the Birds Valley, where we will visit the Ameridil Kasbah, a well-preserved fortress in the region.

After enjoying breakfast at the riad, our journey will continue towards Taroudant via Taznakht. Along the way, we will visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest kasbah in Morocco. Constructed in the early 20th century by Thami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains, this kasbah served as a stop on his extensive travels from sub-Saharan countries to Marrakech. Today, it is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site and showcases remarkable architecture.
Next, we will make a stop in Taliouine, known as the saffron capital of Morocco. Here, you will have the option to visit a saffron cooperative. If your visit coincides with the saffron harvest season, you may have the opportunity to witness Berber families harvesting saffron in their fields, providing a unique cultural experience.
By the afternoon, we should arrive in Taroudant, where you will have the chance to explore the city’s ramparts and stroll through the charming alleys of the Medina. Taroudant is often referred to as “The little Marrakech” as it was once the capital of the Saadian dynasty before they moved their seat of power to Marrakech in the 16th century. The city offers a glimpse into Morocco’s rich history and architectural beauty.

After enjoying breakfast at the riad, our journey will take us to Sidi Ifni via Tafraout. Our first stop along the way will be in Tiznit, a popular resort city that has attracted many tourists over the years. You will have the opportunity to explore the city, enjoy a leisurely walk along the Promenade, and savor a delicious lunch.
Continuing our journey, we will travel along the coastal road towards Sidi Ifni. This scenic route is known for its stunning landscapes and the presence of unique Argan trees. Keep an eye out for herds of goats that are often seen climbing the Argan trees, seeking better food than what they can find on the ground.
We will make several stops along the coast to appreciate the picturesque views before reaching Sidi Ifni in the afternoon. You will spend the night at a riad or hotel in Sidi Ifni, allowing you to relax and unwind after a day of exploration.

After enjoying breakfast at the riad, we will depart and embark on a journey towards Essaouira. Our route will take us via Agadir, following the scenic Atlantic Coast.
As we travel along the coast, you will have the opportunity to admire the beautiful coastal scenery and enjoy the refreshing ocean breeze. The road will offer glimpses of the charming towns and villages that dot the coastline.
By the afternoon, we will arrive in Essaouira, a coastal city renowned for its captivating blend of history, culture, and vibrant atmosphere. You will have the remainder of the day to explore Essaouira at your leisure, strolling through its picturesque streets, visiting its historic landmarks, and immersing yourself in its unique ambiance.
Enjoy the evening in Essaouira and take in the delightful coastal vibe before retiring for the night.

After having breakfast at the hotel in Essaouira, we will begin our exploration of this captivating city. Our first stop will be the Skala Fortress, offering panoramic views of the coast and the Atlantic Ocean. You will also have the opportunity to see the intricate Thuya wood carvings crafted by local artisans, showcasing their exceptional craftsmanship.
